Samantha Cotter
Samantha Cotter is a member of the American University Class of 2021, where she is pursuing a BA in Politics with aspirations to attend law school upon her graduation from undergrad. Outside of the education realm, Samantha served as Deputy Director of Outreach and Research for a YPAC, Blue Future, where she aggregated opportunities for young people to have an impact in the 2018 elections. Managing partnerships with political campaigns and building relationships with organizers was an integral part of Samantha's work with Blue Future. Currently, Samantha serves as Co-President of Women’s March Youth Empower, the youth voice of Women’s March and she had the honor of speaking at Women’s March 2019. She is also the Founder of reSISTERS Vote a movement to activate youth voters through relating sexual assault education, the #metoo movement, and Title IX policy. In her free time, Samantha wrote a series for Millennial Politics, “Young People: If we vote we can elect…” which showcased various progressive candidates where young people can have a decisive impact on 2018 election results. She has also written for Teen Vogue and interviewed Rep. Malinowski (D-NJ).
